Volunteers Needed for End of Summer Carnival!!!
Hello Project HOPE School Supporters!
Project HOPE School Foundation is planning this year’s “End of Summer Carnival” for the children at Project HOPE School. Most of our students as you probably already know, live in motels and shelters throughout Orange County.
As seen in the HBO documentary “Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County”, a group of our students live next door to Disneyland, yet have never been inside. It is our HOPE to put a smile on their faces and bring the experience to them on Friday, September 9th. The event will take place during the school day at the school in Orange.
We are trying to arrange to have businesses, organizations and groups take over their own booth to create a “carnival like” setting. I’m totally open to the idea of giving volunteers the creative freedom to do whatever activity they see fit (as long as they run it by me to eliminate duplicates) for their area. Some ideas may be pie eating, goldfish, face painting or anything fun and festive. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please call or email me with a booth confirmation as soon as possible.
We are also looking for a DJ, any restaurants, vendors, rental stores that may be willing to contribute for a good cause. If you or anyone you know may be interested, the contact and gesture would be extremely helpful and much appreciated!
Thank you for your continued support! Hopefully you can join us for this one of a kind volunteer experience!
Sincerely,
Mary E. Garcia
